My second post! It's 2:50am now, craziness! Today's been a slack day, because whatever I've written on my list is like, none fulfilled? Sigh. Slept through the afternoon, because I was too tired from last night (I slept late last night too remember?) and my period.. Then woke up to check if I could enrol for 2nd semester.. Sent email to the administrator.. Went back to sleep again. =X Woke up in the evening with a grumbling stomach.. Why are stomachs such pessimist?? They always grumble.. Hahahha.. ok.. Digressing..

Made dinner for myself. The same as last night's but I added lemon this time! Super shiok, because I love sour stuff. Chatted with my housemates for like 2 hours today.. That was great, because I got to know them better, and slightly closer now. Don't feel as alien as before. =)

So I came back online to do enrolment.. Bathed only just now, before I came back online.

Maybe I should let you guys know a bit more about what I'm studying? Timetable's pretty much spaced out, just that it sucks to have so many empty spaces in between. So anyway, I'm taking 2 science modules and 2 arts modules, which is the requirement for a full-time course. Science modules would be Bio and Chem, about the same stuff that I've been studying in JC, just that I wanna have another go at it, to learn the topics better and strengthen my understanding of them. Arts modules would be Jap and Philo.. I'm studying the Jap language itself, and as for Philo, it's about argument and critical thinking.. I guess in every subject itself, argument and critical thinking is rather essential, so I think they would help me a great deal in my other modules too. Sem 2 will be like a follow up of what I'll be doing in Sem 1..

I'm hungry again, and it's 3:30am in the morning. I'd better catch up with sleep soon.. Will blog more tomorrow maybe. Take care folks..

7:55 PM
People, I'm alive!!!! I'm quite amazed at how I managed to survive without people to cook and wash and clean for me. Wahahaha. I just had dinner, it was just chicken with pepper sauce. But it tastes just as heavenly as I hope it would be. No overcooked chicken, no pathetic sauce. Just right for me. Muahaha. I had lettuce to go with it, because I don't have any vegetables yet. Been buying other necessities and lugging all the stuff home that my back is aching like hell. Should have borrowed trolley from my housemate. Hehe. I'm very happy leh.... Either I'm feeling smug over how I managed to cook my chicken, or I'm getting high on my grapes. Haha.

The day of departure was.. very rushed. Packed my things rather last minute, only finished buying my stuff the day before. In any case, I'm really glad dear squeezed my quilt into the luggage. It was really useful! Mainly because it can get quite cold here, and partly because it's something from back at home, and it's nice to have something familiar to me wrapping around me when I'm asleep. Felt rather sad when I was on the plane.. And having to sit beside 2 burly men made it worse, because I was already so cramped in my sit without getting to stretch my legs. Spent my time on the plane reading the letter that Xueli gave me, and the card that Chitz gave me. Thanks guys for all the presents!

Had to switch plane because I transit via Sydney.. Quite fun to find my way around on my own. Had a hard time trying to smuggle the chocs that my brother gave me. Haha. Got it past anyway. Adelaide is.. cold and dry. Had a bit of sore throat while I was here, because it's rather dry, and perhaps partly because I am not accustomed to drinking the water here as well.

Day 1 was seriously depressing, because I missed my family very much. Arrived at the hostel and did all the paperwork, it was noon by then. Didn't have the energy to do anything at all, slept the whole of the afternoon away. Only woke up in the late afternoon to buy pillows and pillowcase, bedsheet covers, hangers, some postcards and dinner as well. Made a new friend while I was lost opposite where I was staying. Her name's Janet, and she happens to be an Australian who lives in Singapore. Lol. What a coincidence! She's very friendly, and brought me around, showed me where're the good stuff (cheaper stuff) and how to get around the city. Adelaide's a very organized place, so you cannot possibly get lost. There're people who will always come up to you to ask if you need help, even though all you do is just stand at a corner with a map in your hand and keep looking around in different directions. Haha. Met my tjchoir junior, Vanessa too. I'm glad I had her around, less lonely.

I had chinese food for dinner the same day. Everything here is rather expensive.. My dinner cost about 6.50, but the food pile was scary. The rice alone could cover the whole plate, and the dishes that the chinese auntie gave me were..... scary. I was just so shocked, because I had never seen a bigger plate of cai fan than this. Moreover, I didn't have the appetite to eat, and I was sitting in front of the stall, so paiseh.. So anyway, it's still a good buy for that humongous amount of food.. I packed up the rest of the food and kept them for dinner.

Met my first housemate, Victor, from Shanghai, studying postgrad architecture coursework. We were the only inhabitants in the house, made me feel like we were co-habiting or something. =X But no worries, we're in different rooms of course. Everything here is brand new, clean, empty.. Feels weird. Like, not messy enough to call it a house. Met quite a lot of new friends too, through Vanessa. Had a rather fitful sleep, because I wasn't used to sleeping on a small bed. Haha. Think I should shift my furniture around a bit..

Day 2 was slightly better.. Went marketing in the afternoon with my new friends, bought a lot of food and had to lug them all home. Quite fun, my first time choosing fish and buying chicken and sorts. Lol. Had to plan what dish to make of them, etc. Still passable. Haha. Haven't yet any diarrheas yet. Went to Henley beach after marketing, had SUBWAY for lunch!!! Muahaha. So happy to eat subway. My all time fav. Didn't put sunblock, was a bit burnt, even though the weather was cold. So.. Yah. I feel like I'm slightly darker than before I came here.

On the same night, we went to watch Skyshow organised by the local radio station SAFM. It was super cool! Fireworks in the sky, sooooo crowded! Music played from the stage, DJ controlling. The fireworks were synchronised with the music played.. So cool! Very memorable.. Took videos of it. Hehe. But broadband here limited, cannot upload photos at the moment.. Had supper at Hungry Jacks after that. Lolx. That's the equivalent of the Burger King in SG.

Day 3 was about shopping again.. Slept late on the night before, woke up late too. Was rushing around trying to get more groceries. Made library card, borrowed THE MUMMY RETURNS dvd. Haha. Shops closed at 5, so we left for home rather early. Bathed and packed up a bit more, left for another friend's unit for sushi party. Haha. Hosted by Hayato-san, one of the Japanese exchange student here.

Day 4 was my first day to school.. Spent the whole day walking up and down and around the school to get my student id card and password so I could start with enrolment and at least go online.. Had subway for lunch again (hee hee). Bought a new mobile line, and applied for bank account. Cooked my first dish in my whole life: fish. Haha. No, I shall not give an account about how I go about doing it.

Today is another tiring day.. Just finished planning my timetable. My thursdays are empty on certain weeks, the rest of the days are rather long. Spaced out, so it think it's gonna be rather draggy.. So I've picked my modules.. One bio module, one chem module, one jap module, and one philosophy module. Haha. Quite excited to go back to school again.

Alright.. So that's about it. Will blog more.. 1243am here now!

mood: great!

Thanks a lot for all the tags on my tagboard.. I feel very.. Loved! Concerned! Cared for. =)

I'm looking at the bring list that Rachel had sent me and....... Woah.. So many things I've yet to buy/bring/pack. And for the next few days I'll be busy with meeting people and celebrating my mum's birthday. Tomorrow morning meeting Wilson to watch even more dvds, afternoon meeting Sinsiu for a while, evening meeting ahs4d for steamboat at Marina bay.. Saturday morning, going to Wilson's house again, afternoon having lunch with his family, evening going to kensan's place to eat ramen.. Sunday morning got church, afternoon onwards celebrating mum's birthday.. Probably going bowling, then eating dinner at Sushi Teh. Haha. Fainting.. So that means, shopping will only start on like Monday. GASP. So little time, so many things to buy! I wanna get a handcarry from sports shop, but I've yet to find one that's cheap and nice and not too girly. Went to shop around for handphone and bag with Xueli yesterday, and it was futile.. Sigh. Wasted so many days shopping without buying anything. Can anyone recommend me a phone that's not too ugly and maybe not a flip phone preferably Sony Ericsson or Nokia that's not too ex? My handphone spoiled, but I haven't changed it..

Currently at my grandma's house now.. Staying over. Yawnz.

I wonder if I would miss the people here very badly. Feeling a little scared, but still looking forward to Thursday, because I love taking planes. Haha. I don't know what to expect though, because it'll be my first time flying on my own. Probably Xueli knows better. Haha. But it's ok. There's always a first time for everything. There's a good cause to get excited!

Oops.. Gotta sleep.. Good night folks..
