2:34 PM
I'm peeling... And it took the skin so long before it started peeling. Weird. So much for tanning lor. Don't plan to put up photos on the blog today.. Just wanna come online to announce the more-or-less-confirmed departure date:

SUNDAY, 12TH FEBRUARY 2006. QANTAS AIRWAYS, QF 0052.

Departs at 9:10pm. Departure Terminal 1. Arriving at Brisbane at 6:45am. Mainly it's a transit flight, gotta take domestic flight to Adelaide. Will end up reaching Adelaide at 11:25am on 13th February.

Why it's "more-or-less-confirmed departure date" is because, if I could get a direct flight to Adelaide, the date might change, or if better, only the flight time changes. So anyway, yah. I don't understand why most of the flight has to be night flights. I'd prefer morning flights like 3am that kind, so that people cannot send me off. Muahaha. Ok those who wanna see me for the one last time before I "take off", I would prefer to meet like say, a few days before I leave, and not at the departure hall itself.

Oh well, luggage is gonna be a headache, because I was told that during transit from Brisbane to Adelaide, I'm only allowed 20kg of baggage. WTH!!!! Ok lor, so be it. I hope tea leaves wouldn't take up too much baggage weight..

Need to plan a shopping list like asap.

I need........

Er. Can some kind soul out there just plan what I'll need to get?

So far I can only think of.....

1. spare spectacles
2. contact lens solution (which I've bought)
3. I think I'll need eyedrops for contact lens too, since it'll be quite dry in aust.
4. Lots and lots of stationery.

OH!!! Rachel sent me a to bring list! YAY..... I got it even before my blog is up. Lol. Thank God!

So I shall start packing... Lalala..

Rather enjoyable, took a lot of photos with my cam. Haha. Food was good! Pictures below.

Another announcement!! I bought a camera today!

Been in a dilemma over the past months as to which camera I should buy - Canon Ixus 55 or Panasonic Lumix FX9? I personally like Lumix, because.. It's pretty-looking. Haha. The functions are not bad as well of course.. I'm not going to post a day-by-day account of how I went to all the shops to ask about the cameras and all.. It's gonna take months. In any case, it's the Lumix one that I bought. So people, let's start meeting up and snap snap!!

Small update: Most likely able to delay my departure till mid-feb. Will be having my enrolment briefing on feb 14. Aw...... Valentine's Day alone!!!! =( Anyway, it's better than having a week less in Singapore. Plan for meet-ups plan for meet-ups! I'll be quite free. =D

12:17 AM
Oooh.. Sleepy.. But I'm feeling too bloated to sleep.. Had a BIG BIG BIG bowl of beef hor fun just now.. -Burp- I had quite a packed week.. Not like I can exactly remember what happened during the week, because I'm rather tired now. Still, die die must put something up on the blog.. Need to digest the food anyway.

Main thing that I can recall is my meet up with Dimpy, Huijung and Xueli. We went to Carl's Jr for dinner. Absent-mindedly called it Cows and Junior. =X Haha. Had a great time of course! I haven't met up with them for ages. Eons. Light years. Whichever is longer. I received 2 Christmas presents on that day.. =D A bit paiseh though, because I didn't buy anything for them.... -face blush- Huijun gave me this figurine from The Nightmare Before Christmas. AW.... I wanted to watch that show really long time ago! Can somebody please lend it to me if you have it..? I got a really pretty present from Jean and Xueli.. A MOUSE PAD!!! Hahahahahaha.. Ever since I got my new pretty iBook look-a-like ASUS laptop, I've been hunting for a nice mousepad to match my new prized possession. And yep, Jean and Xueli received the brainwaves from me and TADA!! Here's a new black, round, leathery looking mousepad from IKEA, matching my black USB Logitech Mouse, and contrasting nicely with my new pretty iBook look-a-like ASUS laptop! The moment I opened this present, *triple gasp* , "OMG, this is just what I needed!" Haha. I was then trying to come up with other uses for it, like maybe use it to swat flies when I'm in Aust (I heard there're many flies in Aust), but it's too pretty looking for that purpose. Not cheap ok this mousepad!! Lol according to Jean, it's an upgrade from my 90 cents white round polka-dotted mouse pad (from IKEA too). Haha. And OMG, I just realise it matches my webcam too! Haha. And all the other wires that're running around my new pretty iBook look-a-like ASUS laptop. Lol.

It's Friday the 13th! Unlucky day for most people, but not for me because it's one of my lucky numbers! Haha. Also not forgetting to announce........ IT'S JEAN'S 20TH BIRTHDAY TODAY!! WHISTLE WHISTLE!! CONFETTI!! BALLOONS! CAKE!!! :D HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO JEAN... HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU! I wish we could hold another dabian party for you leh.. Haha.. Those were the days! May you have a great time today, tomorrow, everyday! That's because you deserve to be happy. I'm glad to have you around to have lunch with me during my StanChart days, to talk to me about what others don't talk to me about (all those you-know-whats..), to nostalgic-yi-xia about our europe days! Not forgetting us being classmates in our first 2 AHS years, being in the choir, the committee, the UN, the boingers.. Haha! You're probably the only one who will understand the er.. passion (??) for er.. you-know-what. (I don't want to lose my readers.. So cannot type them out here, but YOU-DO-KNOW-WHAT.) I'll miss you when I'm overseas.. -hugs-

Friday the 13th this year is also my last day at my job at Standard Chartered bank. The job was enriching, fulfilling, even though it sucks somewhat, but I'm glad I took up this job. Very soon in a couple of week's time, I'll be on the plane making my way to my new school, new life, new friends, new food, new place, new education system (hehe). Some say I'm really brave to go there alone.. Well I guess that is not really true, because it also depends on how supportive the people around you are.

-in Star Awards speech mode-
"I want to thank my Mum, for scrimping and saving in order to send me overseas to study and fulfil my dreams. I am thankful that she is open about it, and supportive as well. Without her, overseas education would not be possible for me. I will continue to strive hard!

I want to thank my brother, for being supportive as well. At his age, he should be leading a carefree life of a teenager, only worrying over his studies. But for him, he will have to take care and support my mum emotionally while she takes care of this family. Things will be hard on him, but I pray that the Lord will see him through these times. I will always appreciate all that he has done for me. Thanks brother.

Next, I wanna..

(What? 5 minutes is up already? But I have so many people to thank!!! Director, give me a few minutes more, I will cut things short ok.)

I wanna thank Wilson. What would I do without him? He does almost everything for me, from buying accessories, helping me check out prices and all that to build my desktop and buy my new laptop, buying storybooks for me to read, checking out my uni for info that I need, lending me a shoulder when I'm sad (and not forgetting lending me his shirt when I need to wipe my tears and mucus), fixing my computer problems when I need help, singing me silly songs to entertain me, downloading I-don't-know-how-many Popcap and Gamehouse games for me to play, telling me interesting things that I don't know, taking care of me when I'm sick, keeping me company when I needed a study partner, feeding me with a lot of food so that I won't get skinny (that's why you guys notice I'm never slim), bringing me home safely after we go out till late at night, pampering me when I wanna feel that I'm being fussed about, remembering my favourite things/topics, etc etc.. I feel like the list can never end. (Oh no, sorry director, another few minutes more..) Thanks for being in my life, and forever supportive of whatever I do. (Or almost all. Haha.)

I wanna thank another whole lot of people.. My grams, my aunts, my cousins, for being part of my family, helping in everyway they could. Wanna thank my sisters - Cherie, Ting and Shin, for being there for me no matter what happens, since primary school till now, forever loving me for who I am. Wanna thank my AHS friends - Liesl and Yan, they're considerably the closest 3D/4D classmates I have. They made a great impact in my AHS days, and I'm thankful I have them around to spur me on when I'm at the bottom of my mood swing. Wanna thank my AHS choir friends, especially Jean and Xueli. For Jean, please read above. For Xueli, I just cannot imagine, being in AHS and TJC without him. Feels like I've got a real blood twin brother (who sadly, happens to be prettier than me =P). Thanks for the encouragements when I really needed them (you probably don't know, but they all happen to just come at the right time..) Wanna thank my TJ friends. Gosh, there're so many of them! Ms Tham has made the biggest impact in my TJ life.. Without her and TJChoir, I wouldn't have stayed in TJ, I wouldn't have had the chance to get to know all those wonderful people in TJ. Though life may suck in TJ (with the studying and pressure and all,) I still miss the times while I was still in my 17-18. Memorable choir times were what gave me energy to survive the terrible times while I was in JC. Love my seniors, love the altos, love my wives and concubines. Huijun, Bazang, Debbie, Elain, Jaclyn, Zuze, Weewee, Kalkal, Xiuxiu, Xueli too, Jared, Charles, Melmel, Vuvu, Mina.. I love TJCHOIR! Thanks for all the fun and laughing and unforgettable singings we had together. My first 3 months TJ classmates, especially Sinsiu and Camel.. They're the quietly supporting me group.. I don't know.. But somehow I just feel it.. The night walks with Sinsiu, the cheng teng with Camel, though not much time spent together, but sometimes you can feel it.. =) Thanks 22/03, my crazy classmates. I'm glad they're not only crazy over work, they're crazy with crazy ideas. Suits me just fine. Haha. But advice is, do not go near them when they're in mug-mode. =P They'll just freak you out! But I still love them anyway. =)

I don't know if I've finished thanking all the people.. =X But the director is going to chase me off-stage already. So here's a big thanks to all my fans out there! Do continue to call 1800-4-5683-8733 (1800-I-LOVE-TREE) to support me! TATA!

-walks downstage-

2am! I can't wait for the day to end.. :D ZzZzZzZz..
