I'm sorry for neglecting the blog for a week.. Been busy lately.. Hopefully things will clear up by end of this week.. A little stone now, it's been a long day.. I'll just give a rough idea of what's been going on this week..

Last saturday, I met up with Clare to shop around at Tampines Mall.. We were planning on getting a farewell gift for my dearest dear, Chit Eng.. We didn't buy anything for her yet, had a rough idea though.. And we ended up shopping for new year clothes.. I saw Clare carrying a white bag that is small and stylish.. So I shopped for one too, so I could use it on my cousin's wedding day when I wear the bride's maid dress.. I bought my 1 year anniversary present as well.. But I didn't give Wilson the present because I didn't manage to finish making it.. So well. It'll be a belated present for him.. But I'm sure he'll like it. Muahaha.

Sunday was fun too.. Just that I was a little exhausted to really do anything.. Went to church in the morning, and then my parents came to fetch me to go look around for new cars.. My dad's thinking of changing his, and I'm thinking of getting one! Well I'll probably get a second hand one, because by the time I get a car I might have just gotten my driving licence, and I don't need an extremely good car.. And considering that first hand cars are expensive and liable to accidents since I'm the one driving, I'm just gonna make do with second hand cars for now. Haha. Was super tired though, walking around like a zombie. Plus every night I had to rush to make the anniversary present for him. Still late anyway. Pengz.

And yeah, guess what? I got bitten by some insect or whatever that is so badly, that I got so super upset!!! Luckily it's only on my back.. But what if it bites my face?!! I was so afraid and upset that I decided not to go to work on Monday, so I could clean up my room. I spent the whole day cleaning up the room.. Cleared up the dust, my shelves, wiped those shelves, books, rubbish, threw them away.. My soft toys went into the washing machine for a bath! Haha.. Fun eh. They're all nice and clean now. Hee. I cleared the stuff in my storage bed, and I think I made the right move. Who knows what could be hiding in those stuff I stored under my bed. And last but not least, I sprayed my room with Baygon! MUAHAHA.. That should rid them I hope. Placed some pandan leaves around to prevent cockroaches too. Thanks a zillion to my aunt who came by to help me with all that!! A hard, long day's work, but worth it. :D

Tuesday 25th January 2005 -- our 1 year anniversary!!
I tried to finish making the present, but an unforeseen situation arised! Sigh.. I had to help my brother make a CNY lantern so he could hand up to school. So me and aunt went making the darn thing, and it took us much longer than I had expected! In the end I had to meet Wilson, and had not enough time to finish making the present.. Sobs. That day made up one of my fondest memories.. Haha.

BTT. What does it stand for? Basic Theory Test. I had to pass that to continue with driving lessons and advanced theory test. I think. Not sure. Anyway, I took the test today (technically speaking, it's yesterday already) with my korkor. I did a last minute studying, because I was a little to caught up with other stuff to study before that. We got there quite early.. Coincidentally, his friend was waiting to take the test, and I met Song Wei there too! Lol.. Quite funny.. To cut things short, I don't think I did very well for the test. There were at least 10 questions I couldn't answer. Hope there're at least some that are right! Then on my way home, I saw this Singnet roadshow. I've been waiting for my mum to apply for broadband since last year. So this time I've decided to find out more, and go home tell my mum about it. Anyway, to cut things short again, we've decided to apply for broadband!! Woohoo!! No more slow-tortoise-dialup!! Thank God.. I've been dying to change to broadband since God knows when..

As for now.. Time to sleep.. Got tons of music theory homework to do.. Moral of the story: Don't procrastinate! Haha. Good night bloggie!

I'll make this entry short I guess.. Been feeling a little out of sorts lately, suffering from short headaches here and there, can't help but feel tired these days. Can anyone guess why? I think it's Jobless Syndrome. Too free, got nothing to do. Been doing rubbish, and the only stuff to preoccupy me are reading, watching tv, doing homework. Not forgetting sleeping of course, but long holidays are too precious to be wasted on sleep like that. So I've been online almost every night.. And that is another bad thing. I'm bound to over use the limited connection time I'm entitled to..

My aunt from Indonesia just came by a few days ago, and she brought along my cousin's wedding VCD (paternal side). My cousin's quite young, just 2 years older than me.. And imagine, she's already married. With a baby girl!! She got married last year in October, which means she was only 20. Gave birth to the baby not long ago, because she got pregnant before she got married. Many of my Indonesian relatives were not really approving of the marriage, but they do not have a choice anyway. There were 4 CDs in total, nearly fell asleep while watching. I was observing my relatives, and it seemed that they were not really smiling much, the whole wedding didn't feel like a wedding at all. It was supposed to be a happy occasion, but even the couple themselves were feeling a little awkward. It could be due to the presence of the cameraman, but I think it's more of the pressure of being under the scrutiny of the relatives. I feel more sorry for the baby actually, because she was brought into the world when her parents are still young and ignorant, and both are not even working yet.. I wish my niece well..

Anyway, I can't help but notice that at this age I've been attending more and more weddings.. And funerals of course. That probably is a sign of growing up. My maternal cousin is getting married at the end of this year (she's 6 years older).. Very soon, I'll get to collect angbaos from her at next year's Chinese New Year, and very soon I might be aunt to another child too. And very soon my other cousin might get married, and very soon I might be the one getting married. All happening very soon. So fast that I feel like I don't even have the time to go travel around the world or try bungee jumping or hike across Singapore. Time doesn't fly. It zooms. One moment you're expecting it, the other moment it's already long gone. I'm turning 19 this year, and I'm already fretting that life is too short.. With about a third of my life gone (let's just say I live till 60), there's nothing much I can seem to accomplish, especially at the later part of my life when I'll be old and weak and wrinkled. Haha. Well, complaints, complaints. Guess we all had better learn to cherish what short time we have in a lifetime!!

Yay. I won at another round of mahjong again. I'll cherish that moment. Muahaha. Time to sleep.. Good night folks.. Looking forward to seeing the botak guys soon..

I'm obsessed with my bed, no doubt about it. My air-conditioner spoiled, and my parents offered me a space in their bedroom, but I refused.. Hehe. Nothing's better than my own bed.. With my blanket, my soft toys, my smell, everything.. Hee. At least there's still a bit of wind.. Not so bad. Haha. Oh well, shan't blog much tonight. Take care everyone.. Looking forward to meeting up with all my friends again..

Damn the spywares.. I blogged half a long entry and the explorer closed.. ARGH!! Ok, patience dahling.. Let me try and recall what I have blogged just now..

Yesterday:

Second surgery of my life

Wisdom tooth. Mine was an impact tooth, erupting in the wrong direction (slightly sideways) and the tooth in front of it prevented it from emerging. So the wisdom tooth has to be surgically removed, as suggested by the dentist. I'm quite amazed, because the dentist was not like the dental nurses I knew in my primary school. He was very gentle with me, and was coaxing me like a little child. Lol. He kept saying I'm a good girl, and that I'm very brave. That's because most people asks for some days for consideration, whether to proceed with the op or not. I was not mentally prepared, seriously, but what I felt was I suffered enough, and I want to get it over and done with. How it was done: He gave me anesthesia, slit open my gum, twist and turn my tooth before pulling it out, then stitch the wound. The process is quite ok, except the pulling out part, somehow the anesthesia didn't numb my mouth enough to not let me experience that pain. Ow. Nearly cried, but I'm brave! Haha. Anyway, it cost me $285 in total, for the surgery, X-ray and medicine. Sigh.

My mouth went stiff from the anesthesia, and I really hated biting that cotton gauze that was supposed to stop the bleeding from the wound. I slept, so time went by faster and it became less unbearable. Had to go for piano lesson in that state, unable to talk properly.. Complaint: My piano teacher gave me 10 pages worth of homework! That sure is a lot.. Sigh. She's trying to finish teaching me Grade 6 within a month. Scary huh. Then.. I went to have a simple "dinner" with Chit Eng, then we met Eugene Chua after that to attend this talk by some 8 professionals, at his church, the Bible House. Quite an enriching experience.. Thank you Eugene!

Today:

Went to my cousin's house early in the morning to get my internet fixed.. Oh. Anyway, must thank daddy yx for helping me with the virus part.. Hee. My cousin told me there is MPH sale at Expo today, and later on I found out that tomorrow is the last day. Go grab them books people! Haha. Anyway, in the afternoon, I went to Suntec City, Millenia Walk and Raffles City with my mum, brother, aunt and another cousin. Walked around, shopped around, and in the end my mum spent almost $200 at the Body Shop. Woo.. Quite fun eh. We were quite tired from all the walking, so we went home to rest. In the evening, I went with my mum and brother to the MPH sale to buy some books.. Let me see what I bought..

1. First Daughter by Christa Roberts
2. The Night Listener by Armistead Maupin
3. The Painter by Will Davenport
4. (this is quite a crappy book haha) The Little Abs Workout Book by Erika Dillman
5. (this is a little torn..) The Catcher In The Rye by J.D. Salinger

Yup. I guess of all these, The Catcher In The Rye is the one most heard of huh. Haha. Was a little sad, because I wanted the book titled Eats Shoots And Leaves. But I couldn't find it there.. Oh well. Might consider trying my luck again tomorrow. Haha. Well, almost time for me to sleep. There's dedication sunday tomorrow! Haha. Take care folks. Especially guys in NS and my dear with terrible stuffy nose. Nights!

2:33 PM
I've been sort of working at my dad's office since yesterday, today's my second day here. Did some work yesterday, nothing much though, more of writing cheques, calculating workers' expenses, checking email.. I wanted to help out doing the hard labour stuff, but my dad don't allow me to.. Ok, maybe my dad's being nice, but being a girl does not mean I'm not capable of such work.. Anyway, yesterday passed rather fast because after doing those work that my aunt (who by the way, works as part time accountant for my dad) assigned me to, I spent the rest of the time playing Princess Maker 2. Haha. I went to Cartel@Tampines for dinner with Huijun, Jared and Jeffrey.. It was quite enjoyable, ate quite alot (again) and Huijun and Jared gossiped a lot.. Haha. They have so many rumours to gossip about! Tsk.. Their batch's people quite scandalous.. Haha. Got Autumn Leaves SATB score from Huijun as well. We walked around Tampines Mall after dinner, then we went home.. Huijun and Jeff took bus, Jared and I took train. Both of us met Chion, Justin, Cailin, Kaiwei and Esther when Jared got off at Simei. Darn. Then that bunch kept teasing me about being together. Chion is still as crappy as ever. Lol. His hair look like dried grass!!

Today:

Raining very heavily in the morning.. Feeling a little blue.. 2 of my aunts, and my grandma came to my dad's office today.. My grams and one of the aunts went for check-up today.. And we found out that my grams' high blood pressure increased! Sigh. Other than that, nothing much to be sad about.. There's almost no work to do today.. Played the Princess Maker 2 once and was bored liao. My aunt (the one working here) kept asking me to find other business to do as well, so that I can continue my dad's business or something.. Sigh. A bit sian diao. Then the other aunt kept telling me about how I am wrong to say that a person's character is not based on how they look. So she told me that what she tells me about people is to give me mental preparation on how to choose friends and husband. Sigh. Does it make a difference? I've already chosen liao, and I don't want to make any changes to anything about my life right now. Anyway, they left the office a few hours later, and so I'm alone again. Sigh.

Was watching my dad doing work just now after I sent my aunts and grams off. Having only a small company, my dad has to do quite a lot of work himself just to earn pittance. Ok la.. Maybe not pittance.. But what he earns after paying off all the materials and renovation fees and employees' pay and God-knows-what-else, is not enough to pay off the hard work that he puts in.. This is really hard work.. He has to climb this shaky-looking metal frames to get to the window to paste something, cut the acrylic himself, do measurements.. I think he deserves something better, and I'm sad that I had so many misunderstandings about him last time.. And I wonder if I've inherited the trait from him, because he doesn't bother to clear or explain any misunderstandings or misgivings that people have about him.. Anyway, I wanna thank him here for buying my char kwau teow.. I was a little bored of eating rice, and I didn't want the red bean bun from Gardenia, so I decided not to have lunch since I had fried carrot cake at 11 plus.. I supposed he kinda guessed I wanted noodles or something like that, so he sent his workers to get char kway teow for me.. I felt more like the boss here than he is. Haha. Well, that's my dad.

Listening to Autumn Leaves mp3 now.. It sounds so sad that it makes me feel like I should cry.. Ok la.. I shall go download some more games to play..

9:22 PM
I slept at about 4plus this morning, woke up at 8 plus. Sigh. Poor old me. My family went to my dad's office to help out, shift stuff and all that.. I wanted to help paint his workplace but he refused!! Hmph. Anyway, we didn't do much. I ended up reading the book to prepare for my Basic Theory Test that is to come in less than a month's time..

We went to Carrefour (my dad took so long to learn the correct pronunciation..) during lunch time, shopped a little, ate sushi!!! Hehe. That's what I like about going out with parents. Get to eat good food, no need to pay. Muahaha. We ate a lot today.. Quite scary. I'm super sleepy, but my family decided to go to Queensway to get my brother a new tennis racket.. Well that's because my cousin's friends said that my brother's very young, he needs a lighter racket in order to ensure that he won't injure himself or something.. And guess how much the racket costs? $150. Win liao lor. Anyway, I passed by this shop.. Quite interesting.. Here's the picture. Haha.

Just 3

The name of the shop is Just 3. Haha.. My email is just_tree wor.. Lol. But no, that is not my shop..

We went to eat durians again today.. Supposed to be very full after that, but we went on to Ho Pau Kee to eat 3 small plates of chicken feet, a plate of har gao, a plate of chee cheong fun, a bowl of century egg porridge.. Lol. I feel like I'm full to the brim!!

Ok la.. Nothing much to talk about le.. Gotta sing for service tomorrow before meeting Huijun Cliffty and Leslie at Swensens tomorrow.. Eat again!! Pengz. Luckily I don't have to try on the brides maid gown till somewhere in October. Still have plenty of time to lose weight. Muahaha. Take care folks!

2:26 AM
Happy New Year! Time now is 2:27 AM. I just told Vincent Wong I just got back. Oops. I didn't realise I lied! Lol. I got back like 40 minutes ago. Not really just got back huh. Still, I expect to get a earful from my mum tomorrow. Haha. What's worse, my brother witnessed my "late arrival". Caught red-handed! :P

Yesterday was New Year's Eve, I slept most of my day away, so that I would have enough energy to last the Watchnight service and supper. Anyway, it was raining so much today, we could hardly get out of the house! Nevertheless, my brother and I made our way to our grams house for dinner. I love going to my grams place for dinner, because my aunt always cooks good food! Yum yum.. Went to Christ Methodist Church after that to meet my church choir members from Pentecost Methodist..

Our PMChoir members are mainly Dora (our conductress), Patricia (my piano teacher cum pianist cum Dora's cousin), Ching (my lifegroup leader), Eeling, Small Marie & Big Marie (we've two Maries, so we differentiate them by calling Big and Small Marie), Faith & Grace (they're sisters, also Dora & Patricia's nieces) and of course, me! Christ Methodist Church is Pat's church, and we were kind of invited to sing there.. Quite an amazingly big congregation for a small church.. Anyway, nothing much to talk about the sermons and all that.. I was quite tired I did not listen much.. The funny part came when the congregation sang the Doxology.. Haha. In our own church, the piano introduction is normally quite short. But the piano intro at CMC is the whole song!! Lol. So embarrassing. The intro was played for only a verse and our choir people started singing. Damn, the people behind and in front of us started giggling. Haha. I was quite tickled, that I bet my whole face turned red. :P After the Doxology, was our turn to present our songs. Dora sang a solo for the second song, and until now I still don't understand why the youths were making so much noise and laughing about it. Ignorant kids. So rowdy lor. No respect for us. Mu zhong wu ren!! Tsk tsk. Shall not be bothered by them.

SUPPER!!! The whole bunch of us went, along with Faith & Grace's parents, and Ching's husband-to-be.. Had roasted chicken wings, Ba Chor Mee and stingray!! Muahaha.. They keep insisting I'm high. I only suggested that we "yam seng" only what. Bleah. The stingray super spicy! But very shiok too. Muahaha. Guess what. The elders' treat. Hee. Quite a nice New Year Day's supper! A pity I've got ulcer. A little irritating. And my feet hurt like hell from the black shoes I wore. I've got 3 plasters on my feet now.. The elders sent the younger ones home.. And I'm the first one to get home. As usual. Hehe. That's what's so good about staying near 85 market. Haha. Cannot really remember much.. Enjoyable time la.

Hope everyone else had as great a time as I had! Happy new year again, to everyone out there.. This year may be another year full of unexpected surprises, be it good or bad. Trust in the Lord no matter what happens.. (That's the main gist of the sermon today. Haha.) Take care and be joyful, as we embrace the new year that has come!
