Yeah.. Guess what? Today's Mardi Gras day.. And we're holding it in TemasekJC! Ok.. Let me explain a little.. It's actually a traditional holiday, like Christmas and New Year. Commonly celebrated in southern states of USA, where they have concerts, parades, stalls set up to sell stuff and a lot more. Mardi Gras means fat tuesday, and is always usually celebrated on that day of the week. It is also known as the biggest free show on earth. So, it's rather different in a sense that we don't celebrate it on Tuesdays, but on a friday night instead (which is tonight). We have live performances everywhere too, and we have stalls set up. It's probably one of the most happening thing in TJ, after that Chinese New Year celebration that night. Anyway, Mardi Gras starts at 7pm, ends at 10pm. You can come and go anytime you want, but you must have tickets for admission. It's priced at $4, and you can get it at the entrance. Yup. People do come and support us ok? *I want flowers.. Lol.

Anyway, I would like to thank those who've shown concern for me, and those who've been quietly praying for me.. It's a stressful period of time, but I'm sure we'll all get pass it, as all our seniors have done so.. Thank you guys for keeping me in your prayers.. Take care guys.. And yes ting, I will take care of myself.. Love you guys alot!

It's wednesday morning now, technically speaking.. Tired, and very stressed up about Mardi Gras.. Haven't memorised script, haven't memorised scores, haven't done any hw, and haven't studied for Thursday's Chem test.. Ah.. How screwed can things get? If only I sprained my ankle or something.. Wish the car really knocked me down when I was attempting to cross the road recklessly today..

Had swimming in the morning, not so bad.. The pool is still as cold, and I saw Pervy again as usual.. Had 2 free periods, accompanied Clare to the doctor again and I tried to study for Bio test.. Ain't successful because I was rather tired from swimming. Bio test wasn't that difficult though. Hope I'll at least come near to passing this time. Bio prac sucks, because the egg we were doing experiments on looked like jelly and I really wanna eat.. And not forgetting we had Mr Daniel Ng (a.k.a. fats) who was over-seeing our prac..

Choir seemed rather draggy today.. Or maybe it's just me.. Was very distracted after receiving an sms from my mum.. She told me to get home early to look after my brother because she'll be out till very late for a drink.. And after reading that I knew that my parents are not on good terms again.. Sigh.. It's not the first time.. If all parents care about is just themselves, why do they even bother to get married and give birth to children and bring so much misery to the innocent kids..? What irresponsible people.. Moral of the story: Don't get married.

I don't know why, I've been so tired lately.. Hope I'll finally have more time to do hw after Mardi Gras is over.. Anyway, all the best to all Year1s who're getting their O level results on friday. Take care guys.

I'm having my 3 free periods again.. Shall blog before I go memorise my food test.. Went to run 2 with Brother on Wednesday.. Wanted to complete 5km, but I didn't have the stamina, and was having stitch when I ran about 3.5km.. Lol. So in the end only completed 4km. Shouldn't have been too ambitious and run the L-route. Lol. I still prefer our Lucky Heights. Haha. Anyway, had Mardi Gras that day too, and it didn't turn out to be as bad as I thought it would be.. Blue Moon is alot better for us now, though we still went out of tune for the last 2 pages.. Hee. I must say, Charles is really very zai.. Can beat-box, can sing, can break dance.. So is Weiqi! Haha.. Their performance quite entertaining.. People, must go and support them at Mardi Gras Temasek k!! Tickets will be sold at the entrance of the school on that day, so do come by anytime! Festival starts from 7-10pm.. =) Ah.. And Wilson won both debates that day.. Well done!!

Hm.. What did I do yesterday..? I slept very late the night before, woke up at 4am to study and fell back to sleep again.. Felt so sleepy the whole day. Haha.. Luckily my lessons end at 210! Went home and sleep, then had dinner over at my Gram's place. I made stars.. And decided to watch American Idol.. Watched a little of Trista & Ryan's wedding.. Found it quite stupid, though I must say it's a really romantic place to hold a wedding.. Hee. Boring night. Oh and Wilson had debate again yesterday.. His team lost one but won the semis. Yay! They in the finals now.. So proud of them! Lol. Anyway, didn't even do any homework last night.. Slept..

Today is Friday! Haha.. Just now Charles was beat-boxing If Your Mother Only Knew during assembly.. I'm quite amused by that song. Haha. Hm.. Having 3 Bio lessons later.. Hope I won't fall asleep. Heard from Leslie that I'll stink of milk after the practical.. Ugh. Will be having PE again.. Not worried though because I know I'm more or less prepared for tomorrow's Road-run.. (Shudder though. Quite stress to know that I'm competing against so many people..) PS said I shouldn't add unnecessary stress to myself.. Yeah I agree too. Hee.

Road-run tomorrow, followed by Choir practice, followed by Mardi Gras practice.. Hope Dimpy will come and visit us during Mardi Gras practice tomorrow.. Hmph he bought the rest of them stuff on Valentine's Day but not for me because I didn't eat dinner with them that day.. =( Shall get him to buy a big big bouquet of flowers for me tomorrow.. Muahaha.

Muahaha.. I didn't swim today! Saw Pervy, the pervertic and horny cat at the swimming complex again.. Now u know how it got its name. Lol. Anyway, poor Clare is on MC again, because of her foot.. Hope her foot specialist can do something about it fast.. Cos I'll miss her if she doesn't come to school.. Haha. Hm.. Glad it's a short day today.. I probably failed my Chem test again, but it's ok I guess.. Shall get used to it.. Haiz.

Had choir today.. Learnt another BEATLE song.. Called Honey Pie..And 2 new words.. Haha.. Shan't list them here.. Quite gross.. Lol. Ms Tham gave a short little speech today.. Felt really inspired to take up music as my career next time.. I've been rather keen about it since God-knows-when.. But I know I probably won't excel in it.. And I don't think my parents are supportive of the idea.. So.. Give up the idea..

Kanekane came to visit us today.. Gosh I didn't realise I miss the seniors so much.. It felt really good to see her again, though I'm not exactly very close to her.. Hope I'll get to see Bazang, Elain, Jacelyn and the rest again.. Anyway, I heard from Kane that she's planning to go and study in Australia.. This saturday she'll be going there to take a look around.. I hope she'll remember to send me some info about the universities there.. I've got plans to study overseas too.. =D Well.. I'll see how I fare for my A levels first.. Probably work and save up before I go.. Any suggestions from you people..?

I'm training for road-run tomorrow.. Gonna run with Brother.. 5K.. Haha.. I don't know if I'll survive.. We were wondering what to wear tomorrow.. I suggested AHS pe shorts.. (It's bright and green..) Brother said we'll look like bushes. Lol! Just need flowers.. Haha.. And I told him.. Can you imagine flowers sticking out of your shorts..

Ok.. Not really very funny.. Sigh.. Sigh-y day today.. Got so many things on my mind.. Trying to keep myself un-stressed.. Because according to my Big5 Profile (a report of a psychometric test that I took..), I've got high negative emotionality.. And the report says Insure that the learning environment is free of stress for this individual.. Upon reading that, I laughed.. Can you guys imagine.. I'm in TJ..

Hm.. I don't know what I wanna say.. Haha. It's been a really slack week last week I must say.. Lol. I still have a slight flu.. And my cough has phlegm now.. But I guess they'll be gone in no time.. =)

Man.. I don't really like Mondays.. It's one of my longest day.. Nothing very exciting or funny happened today.. Just felt.. Hm.. A little stressed.. Think it's because of the upcoming March Common Test I guess.. And after hearing Best Friend say he's got 1400+ for SAT and he's still dissatisfied.. Big Sigh.

Anyway, Brother (Cliffty) went to consult his General Practitioner today.. Haha.. He got a jab in the butt!! Lol.. So this morning at the canteen after he came back from consulting his GP, I decided to make fun of him.. And I yelled so loudly, "WHAT DID U JUST SAY THE DOC JABBED YOUR BUTT??" Lol he was so embarrassed that he was trying so desperately to hide his face.. While Renee and I.. Haha.. Busy laughing our heads off.. Pity only Mrs Evangeline Ho heard me.. Haha..

It's another short day for me.. Ends lessons at 210. This time I'm smarter, I didn't take any medicine in the morning. Haha. It was a rather good day I'd say, enjoyed the company of PS & MC, though I must say I miss Clare quite a bit. Haha. Well, hope her foot heals soon.. I'm quite glad I safely scraped through Math lesson.. Chem tutorial was real fun, because we were discussing about our wish.. Haha.. Can't wait to see Mr Ong carry out his plan on telling the whole world "How Great CG 22/03 Is.."

Well I was feeling kinda stressed about certain things lately.. And today, my best friend (ting) gave me a little letter.. Man.. I'm really so touched when I read it.. It felt as if I've found shelter and protection from the terrible things that came crashing down at a go.. It was really comforting.. Haha.. That small but simple letter really made me a lot a lot a lot better.. So if you're reading this, I wanna say thank you again.. You've made my day!! =)

Went to my kor's place to use his comp today, and went through the cardiac cycle again.. Actually it's not really that difficult to understand.. It's just a matter of concentrating and trying to get the things right.. Maybe Bio is not that difficult after all.. Haha.

My mum's birthday today, so we celebrated at some buffet restaurant at Marina Square.. Ate so much I think I'll turn into a true blue pig.. Argh. I don't think I can make it for next week's Road-Run. Haven't been training, and to think I actually fell sick!! Will attempt to at least take light PE.. Haiz. Chit Eng made the wrong choice.. Shouldn't have signed me up for the competition..

Next short-term goal: Go Sentosa and be crazy. Need to let off steam..

Gasp! Tomorrow's Thursday! And I haven't done my Bio Tutorial.. Yet I came online to blog.. Kinda missed blogging especially having been sick for like.. 4 days? Been down with cough - it started from sore throat after Mardi Gras practice last Saturday- then flu.. I have no idea how the flu started.. Just that sunday after Charles' big battle with his contact lenses (hahaha.. I'm still very amused.. Cos his left contact tore into half!!! Ok sorry concubine.. Didn't mean to tell the whole world about it..), I started sneezing.. Well then the sneezing didn't stop and it slowly turned into a bad flu with yellow yucky mucus.. It got so bad on Monday that I didn't go to school.. Felt a little feverish even.. Tues was better, I didn't swim, had 2 free periods, a break, pon Chem tutorial because I left my Chem tutorial book with Chinru, and after Bio lecture I took leave from school to consult a doctor at Bedok polyclinic. Btw, my poor dear Clare sprained her foot! Haiz.. Oh. Not forgeting, Eugene Chua (a.k.a. dear PS's lao gong) came back to visit us that day! Also, must thank Camel the Camel-ly Friend for being such a kind old soul to lend me $10 to visit the polyclinic that day.. Also wanna thank all who showed care & concern for me! Really Really Really appreciate that a lot.. =)

Had choir practice that Tues night.. Was asleep, resting at home after my trip to the doctor (and had pills for cough & cold), before choir practice. I know that the flu med will cause drowsiness.. I didn't notice that the cough one does too. I popped a pill for cough and left for choir.. Started to feel sleepy half-way through, and I still didn't know why. Only this morning when I accidentally ate my medicine again then I realised that both my cough and flu medicine causes drowsiness.. So in the end I was half-asleep through my lessons today.. Great.

Was so tired that I went home to sleep before Mardi Gras rehearsal. Didn't even bother to attend the Big5 profile talk. Oh man I'm really curious what's my personality like.. Haha. Anyway, I must say today is a Total Disaster Day for me. Sigh.

Disaster no. 1:
I'm supposed to play the recorder for Runaway, and every time I play a B flat, it goes off in a very high-pitch screeching sound. Damn.

Disaster no. 2: And to make things worse, I had moths in my stomach. Was so nervous that I can feel my hand quivering, sweaty palms and all that.

Disaster no. 3:
I did quite a terrible job at the piano with Fel's solo song.. Pengz..

Disaster no. 4:
Blue Moon went out of shape..

Disaster no. 5:
People kept giving me weird looks and laugh at me when I'm holding on to my recorder.. Made me feel so terrible.. ='(

My EZ-link card has no more value left.. Had to walk home after the long tiring rehearsal..

Just feeling plain sick and demoralized.

Terrible thing no.1: I didn't have enough sleep last night. Slept at 11+ last night and woke up at 5+ this morning to mug for today's Math Lecture test. So much for studying. In the end my mind blanked out and I couldn't answer the questions. So damn demoralising.. Next was GP.. TWO PERIODS of it k.. We had to do this comprehension that is sooooooooooo tough that I didn't complete it.. Left my summary blank!! Darn. Even more demoralised.. After that I had Chem tutorial.. Got 1/14 for my test.. pengz. Actually I kinda expected it.. But it sure didn't help improve my mood in anyway.. Bad day. Hope someone buys me porridge later..

1. Komui: Crazy crazy girl. Haha. Always lifting up people's skirts.. pengz. Quite fun to be with though. She's quite hyper, gets people into the lively mood too. Hee.

2. ShiQi: I call her QiQi most of the time.. She's the tallest girl in class man.. Cool girl. Basketball player in ahs last time, was under Remy Ong in bowling, and can draw well! Multi-talented sia.. She's very fun, abit tomboyish just like me, which is why we click well!! Hee. Glad she's in TJ now.. Can run to her and whine anytime I want..

3. Grace: She's got such nice straight hair.. Another cranky girl too! Always with Jean, and she can be so drama at times! Very sporting, willing to do funny stuff though it may look quite stupid! Hee.

4. Jocelyn: Xiang Qing Xiang Qing.. Wah her HCL is so damn zai lor.. Best HCL student of the class. No wonder Wang Bi Yu likes her so much. Hee. Most of us calls her Joce though. Her GG friends calls her Joy-Se.. Lol. Long story. She's the one who teaches us the "Heh?" and the action to do when giving the sad face.. Haha. Cool girl guide. =D

5. Siew Lian: Another girl guide.. Hee. She's my classmate for all 4yrs in AH! (Though I must say I don't know her well..) Quiet, but nevertheless adds colour to life as a part of our class..

6. Jean: She's the smartest girl in the class if I didn't remember wrongly.. All rounder.. Basketballer, and very sporty person. She can be crazy and slack and yet do well for her studies.. Really admire her time management.. Cool person, which is why she's part of ahs4dians..

7. Liesl: Hee. She's my best friend in AH, a dear to me. I first knew her from choir.. Been good friends since then because we both live in Pasir Ris (well I used to live there..) and go home together.. And in sec3, we ended up in the same class! (Fate brought us together..) Haha. We make really good pals and partners.. I remembered there was once Mr Adrian asked us to read a passage together.. And he commented on how our pitching and tone sounded the same, just like singing a song. Lol. Miss her alot. I admire her for her wisdom most. Also my cut-hair kaki. Lol.

8. Cherlyn: Everyone calls her Cher. Haha.. I admire her quite a lot too. Pretty girl with very beautiful features.. Always so nice and sincere to everyone.. Never fails to cheer up anyone. Wonderful smile she's got.. And a great girl guide too. A lot of guys like her I bet.. Haha. And she makes a good capstan ball player.. Hee.

9. Meixing: She's 1 of the 2 Marilyns in our class.. Marilyn Tan. We call her Meixing for convenience's sake. She's another smart and cute girl in our class.. In TJ now too, and a nice person to confide in as well as hang out with. Miss the times when we all go out together and play asshole daidee at Pita Deli.. Haha.

10. Jacqueline: A very sporty girl from St Johns. I call her Jacq.. Hee. Very good stamina she's got! She can do pull-ups ok.. Almost on par with guys!! Or even better. Hee. Miss her a lot.. Remember in sec4 we always go airport with the rest of our click to study together.. Always sticks by her principles. Though she's got a strict mother, she doesn't complain a lot. We're both Jay Chou freaks, and we always compete to see who can memorise his songs faster! Haha. Got influenced by her to play guitar too. Another cool 4dian.

11. Siangyu: I don't speak to her often, but I must say she's quite cranky too! Haha. Er actually the whole class is cranky la.. So, not a really constructive description about her.. Hee. Komui's best friend as well..

12. Teresa: Me!!!!!!! Haha.. Hm.. I'm a crazy girl, (yah, like u guys dunno lidat..) loves to play capstan ball with my classmates.. Mainly one of the most pampered girl in class cos my friends always gives in to me.. Haha. I miss the way they dote on me, the way they care for me and.. The way they slack.. Haha. Miss the air-con classroom containers, miss the times when we bring and exchange jackets, and miss the great BBQ the guys always prepare when we have our class chalet.. Hee. A rather well-known slack I am.. Crazy about ahschoir too.. Yup.. A member of the boing-ers and currently a less slack student in TJ.. Very proud of my classmates yes..

13. Marilyn: This is the other Marilyn.. We call her Yee sometimes, for that's her surname.. She's quite an in girl, always full of trendy clothes and always changing her her colour.. Saw her with pink hair recently! Haha. She's real brave.. Only MEP student in school.. Social butterfly, and always full of good ideas to spend time. Haha.

14. Qianhui: She's always got this sweet look.. Haha. I remember her as quite a quiet person in class.. As in, doesn't speak out much, but she's got as much rebel in her as do the rest of the class. She's a good HCL student too!

That's about the end.. We've only got 14 girls.. Which is about 2/3 the number of guys.. The girls in my click consists of QiQi, Joce, Liesl, Meixing, Jacq.. Haha we're such a great bunch! 4. Had a good breakfast at Mac with PS CK Eileen and Chinru today. Can't remember why, but we were talking about liposuction and breast enhancement. Lol. Think they wanna send me for beauty pageant on Beta Nite. pengz. I must say I enjoyed their company a lot though. Haha..

My best friends and I have known each other since primary school.. Woah! That's more than 8 years!! My.. Haha goes to show how strong our friendship is.. Can withstand anything.. Er.. Except heat I guess. Haha. Well what happened was, just yesterday morning, we went together to try out steam bath at my condo. Quite fun because it's rather early in the morning and it's rainy and cold, going for a steam bath sure warms us up. It was quite amusing to watch them, because they can't stand the heat, and we kept opening and closing the door.. Lol. We look so sua ku. Haha. Haven't met them up for a long time till yesterday, didn't realise I quite miss them. Haha.

Went for swimming today, then on my way back from Mac I saw kor (yanming) on the bus with his gf.. Haha so sweet. Realised I missed my AHS classmates again.. Haha. If only a quarter of the TJ people are as crazy and rebellious as them. Lol. Hope he'll come visit me later.. Haha. Shall study for tomorrow's math test now.. Cya guys. Happy February!

Sunday..

Despite the fact that I slept at past 2am in the morning, I was still able to drag myself out of my bed to go to church. Surprise surprise. Anyway, Charles came to my church to have a look around.. I guess it probably bored him a lot, because I myself am quite bored too. In the end we left service early and I showed him around in church. Quite funny I must say, because he brought his guitar! Poser.. Haiz. Haha. Found out today that he's more leng ("cold") than I thought.. Haha. Pengz. No wonder he makes such a good buddy for me. Muahaha.

Finally got to hear him play Tears In Heaven on his guitar! Felt so honoured. Haha.. I think his singing is really captivating.. Because quite a few aunties in my church actually turned their heads around to listen to him sing.. Haha.. Bet he must have felt so embarrassed.. Then there was this kid who actually wanted Charles to play a few songs to "dedicate" a few songs to himself.. Lol. Quite cute. Went for lunch with my friend after service then went home to entertain my relatives. Got another ang bao today. Yay.

I was feeling quite guilty after the feast today.. We lao-ed yu sheng, had fried dumplings, grilled chicken wings, spaghetti, pasta salad, sausages, and dessert. O_O My cousins and I went for a short game of basketball, before we went off to give ourselves an ice-cream treat. Even more guilty now. Roadrun is in less than 3 weeks' time!! Guess I must start my training soon..

Thank goodness there's Hari Raya Haji, or else I will probably be choked up with work again.. Guess it's time to go off and complete my work or something.. Enough for the day! Take care guys.. The study of mathematics cannot be replaced by any other activity that will train and develop man's purely logical faculties to the same level of rationality. I saw this quote on my ex-hcl teacher's name card. On saturday morning, Cliffton, Jeffrey, Leslie and me went together to do our CIP -- Flag Day (Groan). On our way there we met ZZF (that teacher) and he gave us his name card. Ah.. He' really into a lot of such stuff. Tuition, T-shirt printing, some sort of travel agency and what not. He's laughing so much that we all were kind of lost for words. Haha.

Anyway, it was quite a terrible CIP I must say. Everywhere we went we saw a lot of students from other schools doing the same thing as us too. This makes things really difficult, because I totally understand how annoying it is to have many people asking you the same thing -- to donate something to charity. And guess what? We have to fill up at least half the can before we can return the can to school.. Weewee's can got rejected, and in the end she couldn't care less, and decided to forgo her CIP hours. We had sectionals right after CIP, then went on to have lunch with Huijun, Fel, Leslie and Jeff, and practice for Mardi Gras at Leslie's house.

Woah. Seems like quite a tiring day. It was quite fun though I keep having moths in my stomach every time I imagine myself facing a whole bunch of people watching me perform for Mardi Gras. AH.. Freaky. Oh I must announce.. I'm currently in love with the song by The Corrs. It's a really cool song. Haha.

Oh.. Must tell you guys something else too.. Our group is called Alternus!! Haha what a cool name isn't it!! Lol. According to Jeff and Leslie, Alternus means change in Latin. How did we end up with this name? Apparently, our group is made up of Altos (Huijun, Fel and me) and tenors (Jeff and Leslie). By combining Al from and Te from Tenors, we get Alte. Haha. The guys actually went to some online dictionary to look out for a word that has Alte in it. Haha. And tada, we have Alternus!

Conclusions I've made that day:
1. Cliffton and Leslie are crazy. They kept re-enacting scenes from Finding Nemo.. One acted as Dory, the other as Marlin. |||-_-O Nearly drove Jeff and me nuts. They're freaky I tell you.. They're so exact with line, that you'll think they've memorised the whole script!!!

2. Learning how to sing like some of the bad singers from American Idol is very important when it comes to doing Flag Day. Cliffton and Leslie were so amused with the terrible auditions they saw on American Idol, that they kept mimicking the singers. Gosh. Yet somehow almost every time they do that, people will just walk up to us and drop in some coins. Yup. Moral of the story -- watch American Idol.

3. Leslie and I are like some freaking twins. We found out that we've got the same memo pad that has the 9 Fruits of the Spirit on it. Just that mine's self-control, his is faithfulness..

4. Alternus is just so zai. Many many reasons for saying so. Muahahaha.
